Undergraduates

We are always looking for undergraduates who are scientifically curious, motivated, and hard-working to get involved in our ongoing research projects (and/or to eventually develop their own projects). If you fit that description and are interested in joining the lab, please read over this prospective RA information sheet and contact our lab manager or Dr. Shenhav.

Prospective Graduate Students

If you are interested in joining the lab as a graduate student, you should apply through Berkeley’s Psychology Department.

Lab Values

The Shenhav Lab commits to cultivating a diverse and inclusive work environment that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive. We aspire to create a community where every member can freely share their unique perspectives. We recognize that our research is stronger when individuals with a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences are represented, and when their perspectives are valued. We provide equal opportunities to recruit, support, and retain applicants for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national or ethnic origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status and disability status. We aim to foster an inclusive environment in which lab members can develop the skills and confidence to help achieve their long-term objectives.

Collectively, we strive to achieve the following concrete goals:
1. Establish norms for balanced representation in research and teaching.
2. Diversify our recruitment process.
3. Help meet the needs and career goals for a diverse lab.
4. Engage the community in scientific outreach.
